Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brig. General Masoud Jazayeri said Friday,

"The presence of the Americans in South Korea has been the root cause of tensions in this sensitive region in the past and present. The US and its allies will suffer great losses if a war breaks out in this region. Independent countries will not submit to the US mischief. North Korea Threatens Nuclear Strike Against the United States

North Korea announced on Thursday that they may launch a preemptive nuclear strike against the United States because the US is using military drills in South Korea as a launch pad for nuclear war.

The White House issued a response declaring that the United States is "fully capable" of defending against any attack from North Korea.
